Terms of Service

Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [Anointed Mission legal entity name] ("Anointed Mission", "we", "us"). They apply when you use amission.ca, the Mission Hub platform, or take part in our programs and events. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Who can join

  • Our programs are for people aged 10 and older.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve your account and agree to these terms with you.
  • You must give accurate information, including your date of birth, and keep it up to date.
  • Your account is for you alone. Do not share your sign-in details or let anyone else use your account.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

3. Our programs

Our programs are free to participants. They include online Bible study, AI and technology training, entrepreneurship, the Start Again track for adults, and mentorship.

Our programs are rooted in the Christian faith. Everyone is welcome, whatever their background or beliefs, and no one is pressured to adopt any belief.

We may change, pause or end a program, a cohort or a feature. Places in a cohort are limited, and we decide who is placed in each one.

4. Community covenant

We want every person to feel safe and respected. When you use our services, you agree to:

  • treat others with kindness and respect;
  • keep conversations on the Mission Hub and within our approved channels;
  • protect other people's privacy and never share their personal information;
  • tell a staff member if you see something that worries you.

You must not:

  • bully, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone;
  • post hateful, violent, sexual or illegal content;
  • pressure or recruit anyone into gangs, crime, or harmful activities;
  • pretend to be someone else;
  • share content you do not have the right to share;
  • try to break into, overload or disrupt the platform;
  • use our services to sell products or advertise without our permission.

5. Extra rules for mentors, leaders and volunteers

Adults who serve with us must:

  • complete our application, references, training and a Vulnerable Sector Check before working with participants, and keep them current;
  • contact participants only through the Mission Hub or other channels we approve;
  • never meet a participant under 18 alone, or contact them privately outside approved channels;
  • follow the two-adult rule in every session that includes participants under 18;
  • report any safeguarding concern to our safeguarding lead right away;
  • follow our Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct at all times.

Breaking these rules will result in immediate removal and, where required, a report to the authorities.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create, such as posts, projects, assignments and journal entries. You give us permission to store, display and share it within the Mission Hub so the program can work, for example showing your post to your cohort or your project to your instructor.

Your reflection journal is private unless you choose to share an entry with your mentor.

We will only use your content, name or photo outside the Mission Hub, such as on our website or in a funder report, with your written permission (and a guardian's permission if you are under 18).

We may remove content that breaks these terms or puts anyone at risk.

7. Our content and certificates

Course materials, videos, lessons, our name, logo and the Mission Hub belong to Anointed Mission or the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, sell or republish them without our permission. Scripture passages are used under the terms of each translation's licence.

Our certificates show that you completed an Anointed Mission program. Unless a certificate says otherwise, they are not a diploma, a professional licence or an accredited qualification.

8. Using AI tools

Our AI Academy and other courses may ask you to use AI tools provided by other companies. When you do:

  • do not enter personal information about yourself or anyone else unless your instructor says it is safe;
  • check AI answers yourself, because AI tools can be wrong;
  • be honest about when you used AI in your work.

9. Device and internet loans

Laptops, hotspots and data plans we lend remain the property of Anointed Mission. Each loan is covered by a separate loan agreement, signed by a parent or guardian for participants under 18. Loaned devices may be monitored and filtered to keep participants safe, and must be returned when we ask or when the loan ends.

10. Donations

  • Donations are voluntary and support our programs.
  • You can cancel a monthly gift at any time from your donor account or by emailing us.
  • If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within [30] days and we will review a refund.
  • Official donation receipts for income tax purposes are issued only once Anointed Mission is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency, and only for gifts that qualify. [Update this line once registration is confirmed.]

11. Other companies' services

Some features rely on other companies, such as our video and payment providers. Their own terms may also apply when you use those features. We are not responsible for their services, but we choose them carefully.

12. Suspending or closing accounts

We may warn you, limit your access, suspend or close your account if you break these terms, put anyone at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@amission.ca.

13. We are not a crisis service

Our programs and mentors offer encouragement and guidance. They are not medical care, counselling or emergency services.

  • In an emergency, call 911.
  • Kids Help Phone: call 1-800-668-6868 or text 686868, any time.
  • Suicide Crisis Helpline: call or text 9-8-8, any time.

14. Disclaimers and limits of liability

We work hard to keep our services available, accurate and safe, but we provide them "as is". We cannot promise they will always be available or free of errors, or that a program will lead to a particular job, income or result.

To the extent the law allows, Anointed Mission and its directors, staff and volunteers are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of our services. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell account holders about any significant change. If you keep using our services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
